Safety
HSJ Heli has maintained a perfect safety record since 2010. Our protocols are not a checklist — they are the operating culture that every pilot, case manager and ground crew member lives by.
Every flight, every time — six non-negotiable protocols.
All passengers receive a full safety briefing before departure — emergency procedures, equipment location, and communication protocols. No exceptions.
Our H125s carry redundant radio and GPS systems allowing continuous contact with ground control across all operating zones, including high-altitude regions above 5,000m.
Every aircraft carries a comprehensive emergency kit: first aid, survival gear, oxygen (for altitude operations), communication devices, and high-altitude medical supplies.
All pilots undergo regular emergency response drills — engine failure procedures, emergency landing techniques, high-altitude rescue coordination. Training is continuous, not periodic.
We maintain pre-established relationships with CIWEC, Norvic, Grande and B&B hospitals in Kathmandu. Pre-admission is arranged during flight, not after landing.
Weather holds are non-negotiable. Our pilots have full authority to postpone any flight. No commercial pressure overrides a safety decision.
The Airbus H125 is the most capable single-engine helicopter for high-altitude mountain operations, used by operators worldwide for Himalayan flights.
Full compliance with Nepali civil aviation regulations and international ICAO standards.
Every HSJ Heli pilot holds a CAAN Commercial Pilot License and has logged a minimum of 10 years of mountain flying experience. They are trained for the specific conditions of Himalayan operations — not generic flying schools.
Maintenance
Our fleet undergoes daily pre-flight and post-flight checks, 100-hour major inspections, and annual comprehensive overhauls — all performed by IATA-certified mechanics following Airbus-approved maintenance schedules.
